Job summary

Majestic Care of Southport is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team and support quality resident care. The role includes nursing assessments, medication administration, and coordination with physicians and CNAs to maintain high standards of care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed as an LPN in the state employed; license must be active, valid, and in good standing.
• CPR certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and lead team conferences in development of individualized nursing care plans.
• Assess and document the residents’ condition and nursing needs.
• Accurately and promptly implement physicians’ orders.
• Administer medications, start IVs, and document treatment as required by rules and regulations.
• Participate in orientation and in-service training for personnel.
• Assist physicians with tests and procedures within the state Nursing Practice Act.
• Report and record observations and reactions regarding residents.
• Coordinate nursing care when residents are scheduled for therapy or procedures by other departments.
• Assist with or institute emergency measures for sudden adverse developments.

Position Overview:

Majestic Care Nurses render skilled technical nursing services to residents within an assigned unit/wing in support of medical care as directed by the nursing management team; supervises CNAs to ensure a high quality of care is provided to all residents in that unit.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate nursing care of residents when scheduled for therapy or procedures by other departments.
• Assist with or institute emergency measures for sudden adverse developments in residents.
