Job summary

Majestic Care of Bedford is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our care team and deliver skilled nursing services to residents under the direction of the nursing management team. The LPN will supervise CNAs, manage medication administration, document residents’ conditions, and participate in care planning to ensure high-quality outcomes.

A graduate of an accredited nursing program with an active LPN license is required; CPR certification is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
• Active LPN license in the state of practice.
• CPR certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and lead team conferences in development of individualized nursing care plans.
• Assess and document the residents’ condition and nursing needs.
• Accurately and promptly implement physicians’ orders.
• Administer medications, start IVs, and perform treatments for assigned residents and document that treatment as required by Majestic Care and local, state, and federal rules and regulations.
• Participate in orientation and in-service training for personnel.
• Assist physicians with special tests and procedures within the scope of state specified Nursing Practice Act.
• Report and record pertinent observations and reactions regarding residents.
• Coordinate nursing care of residents when scheduled for therapy or procedures by other departments.
• Assist with or institute emergency measures for sudden adverse developments in residents.

Position Overview

Majestic Care LPNs render skilled technical nursing services to residents within an assigned unit/wing in support of medical care as directed by the nursing management team; supervises CNAs to ensure a high quality of care is provided to all residents in that unit.
