Job summary

Majestic Care is seeking Registered Nurses and Licensed Practical Nurses for South Bend with virtual interviews. Sign-on bonuses of $10,000 for RNs and $5,000 for LPNs are offered, plus a night shift differential.

Nurses render skilled nursing services, supervise CNAs, administer medications, start IVs, and document care while coordinating with physicians to ensure high-quality resident care. This is a compassionate, patient-centered role.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed as an RN or LPN in the state employed; license must be active, valid, and in good standing.
• Valid CPR teaching certificate preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and lead team conferences in development of individualized nursing care plans.
• Assess and document residents' condition and nursing needs.
• Administer medications, start IVs, and perform treatments as directed and document accordingly.
• Supervise CNAs to ensure high quality resident care within assigned unit.
• Coordinate nursing care when residents are scheduled for therapy or procedures by other departments.
• Assist physicians with tests and procedures within nursing scope.
• Report and record pertinent observations and reactions regarding residents.

Position Overview

Majestic Care Nurses render skilled technical nursing services to residents within an assigned unit/wing in support of medical care as directed by the nursing management team; supervises CNAs to ensure a high quality of care is provided to all residents in that unit.

Key Responsibilities

• Initiate and lead team conferences in development of individualized nursing care plans.
• Assess and document the residents' condition and nursing needs.
• Accurately and promptly implement physicians' orders.
• Administer medications, start IVs, and perform treatments for assigned residents and document that treatment as required by Majestic Care and local, state, and federal rules and regulations.
• Participate in orientation and in-service training for personnel.
• Assist physicians with special tests and procedures within the scope of state specified Nursing Practice Act.
• Report and record pertinent observations and reactions regarding residents.
• Coordinate nursing care of residents when scheduled for therapy or procedures by other departments.
• Assist with or institute emergency measures for sudden adverse developments in residents.
