Job summary

Southview Acres Health Care Center is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our interdisciplinary team and deliver compassionate, high-quality care to residents in our facility.

You will provide direct patient care, supervise CNAs, administer medications, and contribute to the care plan under RN review. The role emphasizes teamwork, adherence to policies, and resident well-being.

Qualifications

• Current and active license by the Minnesota Board of Nursing to practice as an LPN.
• Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written form.
• Ability to interact with a variety of people and foster a team philosophy.
• Ability to negotiate and interact effectively with staff, residents, families, and professional/regulatory agents.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in accordance with Minnesota state, federal, and facility guidelines.
• Supervise CNAs and coordinate care within the interdisciplinary team.
• Administer medications per policy and procedures.
• Provide wound care and other nursing treatments as required.
• Deliver general nursing care following facility policies and nursing procedures.

The Licensed Practical Nurse responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Providing direct patient care in accordance with the Minnesota state, federal, and facility guidelines
• Supervising CNAs
• Medication Administration
• Wound care and treatment
• Providing general nursing care to residents in accordance with the facility's nursing policy and procedures
• Addressing problems identified in the resident’s care plan for RN Nurse review
