Job summary

Southview Acres Health Care Center is seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse to join our interdisciplinary team. You will provide direct patient care in a compassionate environment, supervise CNAs, administer medications, and support wound care and plan-based nursing activities.

Qualified candidates hold an active Minnesota LPN license, demonstrate strong communication, and collaborate well with residents, families, and staff.

Qualifications

• Current and active LPN license to practice in Minnesota.
• Ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written form.
• Ability to interact with residents, families, and staff while fostering a team environment.
• Understanding of nursing care policies and procedures and regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care according to Minnesota state and facility guidelines.
• Supervise CNAs and oversee daily care tasks.
• Administer medications per policy and physician orders.
• Perform wound care and other treatments as prescribed.
• Address issues in the resident’s care plan for RN review.

The Licensed Practical Nurse responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Providing direct patient care in accordance with the Minnesota state, federal, and facility guidelines
• Supervising CNAs
• Medication Administration
• Wound care and treatment
• Providing general nursing care to residents in accordance with the facility's nursing policy and procedures
• Addressing problems identified in the resident's care plan for RN Nurse review

Qualifications & Skills Of Licensed Practical Nurse

• Current and active license by the Minnesota Board of Nursing to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse
• Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written form
• Ability to interact with a variety of people and foster a team philosophy
• Ability to negotiate and interact effectively with staff, residents, families, and professional/regulatory agents
