Job summary

Tallgrass Creek, located in Overland Park, Kansas, is part of Erickson Senior Living’s national senior care network. We are hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) / Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to provide clinical care to residents in our neighborhood, following nursing standards and Erickson standards.

Starting compensation is $30 per hour, based on years of experience. We offer medical/dental/vision, PTO with volunteer hours, a 401(k) with a 3% match, onsite medical centers and wellness

Qualifications

• Licensed by State as an LPN/LVN.
• CPR certification required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in assisted living, home health, or long-term care preferred.
• EMR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop relationships with residents and families to support physical, spiritual, emotional, and clinical needs.
• Assess and document residents' clinical condition in the EMR and notify provider when needed.
• Update care plans as needs change and oversee care staff.
• Administer medications timely and accurately.
• Participate in meetings related to resident outcomes and care.

Location: Tallgrass Creek by Erickson Senior Living Join our team as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)/Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN). The LPN/LVN is responsible for providing clinical care to residents in the neighborhood according to the nursing standards of practice, board of nursing, and Erickson Senior Living standards. Compensation: Starting at $30 an hour, based on years of experience

How you will make an impact

• Developing relationships with the residents and their families using a consistent caregiver approach supporting the resident’s physical, spiritual, emotional, and clinical needs and focusing on placing the resident first.
• Assessing, observing, and evaluating resident’s clinical condition, document findings in the resident electronic medical record, and notify the provider and/or RN when necessary.
• Updating or modifying care plans as needed to reflect any changes to a resident’s care and service needs.
• Supervising and leading care associates
• Administering medications timely, accurately, and according to orders.
• Participating in meetings related to resident outcomes and care
• Responding to residents, family, or responsible parties in a timely and professional manner
• Participating in the review of clinical indicator reviews – falls, wounds, nutrition, antipsychotic use, etc.
• Other duties as assigned by RN clinical leader

What you will need

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in assisted living, home health, or long-term care is preferred.
• Licensed by State as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
• CPR certification required.
• A passion to care for seniors and be a strong resident advocate.
• Experience with electronic medical records is preferred.
