Job summary

Fine-Care-Center is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our clinical team in a diverse patient care setting. You will record histories, monitor vitals, observe progress, and support activities of daily living while administering medications and assisting with wound care.

Qualifications

• Current LPN license and registration.
• CPR certification required.
• Malpractice insurance beneficial.
• Resume and documentation required to apply.
• Physical exam may be required.
• MMR & Varicella titers requested.
• PPD or chest X-ray if needed.
• 1 personal and 1 professional reference letters if available.

Responsibilities

• Record patient medical history accurately.
• Measure and record blood pressure, temperature, heart rate, and other vitals.
• Observe patient progress and note treatment side-effects.
• Monitor fluid intake and output; maintain patient charts.
• Assist with activities of daily living.
• Administer injections, medications, wound care, and related procedures.
• Collect samples for lab testing as assigned.
• Provide emotional and psychological support to patients.
• Communicate with patients’ families with guidance and updates.

Responsibilities of the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

• Record a patient’s medical history accurately
• Take and record measurements of blood pressure, temperature, heart rate etc.
• Observe patients under treatment to identify progress, side-effects of medications etc.
• Monitor patients’ condition including fluid intake and output and compose patient charts
• Assist ailing patients in daily necessary activities such as eating, bathing etc.
• Administer injections, prescribed medications, enemas etc., clean and dress wounds and assist with other basic medical care tasks
• Collect samples for lab testing as assigned
• Provide emotional and psychological support when needed
• Communicate with patients’ family or friends to provide advice, comfort and release instructions
