Job summary

South Shore Rehabilitation & Skilled Care Center in Rockland is seeking Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to join our care team, providing direct nursing care under RN supervision. You will also supervise nursing assistants and help maintain resident care plans with attention to accuracy and safety.

We offer two 32-hour shifts (7a-3p and 3p-11p) with every-other-weekend coverage. Pay ranges from $40 to $45 per hour, with evening, overnight, and weekend differentials, plus opportunities for career

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved LPN/LVN program.
• Current, unencumbered license to practice as an LPN/LVN in this state.
• CPR certification.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• Ability to make independent decisions and deal tactfully with personnel, residents, and the general public.
• Knowledge of nursing and medical practices and procedures.
• Leadership and supervisory skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents under the supervision of the RN.
• Supervise the day-to-day nursing activities performed by the nursing assistant.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date resident care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered by the physician.
• Document resident progress and report any unusual or significant findings.
• Participate in emergency procedures as necessary.
• Demonstrate leadership skills and contribute to positive resident and family relations.
