New York Cancer & Blood Specialists (NYCBS) is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Brooklyn, NY. The role involves updating the electronic medical record, patient education, and assisting physicians during exams and procedures.

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Update and maintain the EMR with current vitals, demographics, meds, allergies and diagnoses.
• Manage physician inbox messages and prioritize tasks in the EMR.
• Assist in maintaining medical inventory and stock rooms.
• Prepare and clean examination rooms for patient appointments.
• Escort patients to exam rooms and provide education on meds and disease management.
• Assist physicians with exams and procedures; prepare injections.
• Perform phlebotomy and collect lab specimens; perform point-of-care tests.
• Administer medications under physician order and ensure five rights.
• Cross-train in infusion and intake duties.
• Provide EKGs and ensure accurate documentation.
