Job summary

Waterview Nursing Care Center in New York is seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team for full-time shifts: 7a-3p, 3p-11p and 11p-7a. LPNs are required to work at least every other weekend to ensure continuous patient care.

The LPN will plan and manage patient care, administer medications, provide wound care, monitor vital signs, review medical charts, and support physicians and RNs in delivering care.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and provide wound care.
• Obtain and monitor vital signs (pulse, BP, temp, resp).
• Review medical charts and assist physicians and registered nurses.
• Update patient records confidentially and evaluate wellbeing.
• Explain treatments and procedures to patients and families.
• Assist DNS and ADNS with other duties as assigned.

We are in need of a Fulltime LPN for all shifts, 7a-3p, 3p-11p and 11p-7a. All LPN's are required to work at least every other weekend.

Our License practical nurse's plans and manages patient care according to their individual needs. They administer medications, provide wound care, obtains vital signs including pulse, blood pressure, temperature and respiration. They review medical charts and assist physicians and registered nurses in providing care. They Update patient records in a confidential manner and evaluate the patients wellbeing, reporting any needs to medical staff. Explain treatments and procedures to patient and families. Other duties as assigned by DNS and ADNS.
