Job summary

Stellar Care Group is seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse to join our in-person team for day shifts in a long-term care setting. The role involves direct nursing care, medication administration, and supervision of STNAs and unlicensed caregivers.

We require an active Ohio nursing license and a commitment to resident comfort and safety. The position offers full-time or part-time hours with pay starting at $30 per hour, depending on experience and shift.

Qualifications

Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse in Ohio
Current nursing license required
Experience in long-term care preferred
Strong organization and communication skills

Responsibilities

Provide general nursing care to residents in a nursing facility.
Explain procedures and treatments to residents to gain cooperation, understanding, and to prevent apprehension.
Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques.
Prepare equipment and aid Physician during treatment and examination of residents while maintaining awareness of safety and comfort.
Maintain awareness of comfort and safety needs of resident.
Supervise the nursing practices in the facility directed toward restoring and maintaining residents' capabilities at maximum mental and physical level.
Observe residents, record significant conditions and reactions and notify Physician or Supervisor of resident’s condition and reaction to medications, treatments and significant incidents after assessing the condition of the patient.
Document nursing history and physical assessment for assigned residents
Use of Point, Click, Care for electronic documentation.
High level of organization, communication, and clinical skills needed to perform the job successfully in addition to demonstrating the required core competencies.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies. Responsibilities include planning, assigning, and directing work, addressing complaints and resolving problems. Supervises STNA's and unlicensed caregivers.
