Job summary

Viva Senior Living in Glassboro, NJ is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide compassionate resident care in a senior living environment. The role requires an active LPN license and adherence to applicable nursing standards.

Qualifications

POSITION TITLE : Licensed Practical Nurse

REPORTS TO : Resident Care Director /Wellness Director

POSITION SUMMARY:

The essential functions of the job for the Licensed Practical Nurse requires , and may be amended from time to time at the sole discretion of Viva Senior Living to include, but are not limited to the following:

Must possess a valid LPN license, in good standing in accordance with laws of this state, from an approved State S chool of Nursing.

Comply with standards of business conduct in accordance with federal, state, and local health and regulatory standards and guidelines, as applicable.

Must possess , at a minimum, a high school diploma or a GED

Must be able to work well with peers in a congenial work environment, and above all, maintain the utmost compassion and dignity to the residents and adhere to the Resident Bill of Rights.

In exigent circumstances, the employee may be subject to call back during emergency conditions (e.g., severe weather, evacuation, temporary staffing shortages, etc.).

Must adhere to Viva Senior Living’s attendance policies and follow the terms and conditions of employment as set forth in the Employee Handbook.

Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Must maintain the highest standards in caring and servicing the needs of the residents and residents' family members and loved ones.

RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Coordinate the day-to-day care of residents in accordance with the service plan. This includes ensuring sufficient staffing, coordinating staff schedules, and supervising RMAs and direct care staff.
• Is knowledgeable of the individualized care plan for residents and provides support to the residents according to their care plan. Contributes to the care planning process by providing the charge nurse or other care planning staff with specific information and observations of the residents’ needs and preferences.
