Job summary

The Laurels of Galesburg in Michigan is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to oversee and coordinate resident care during assigned shifts, under the direction of the Director of Nursing. You will supervise CNAs/STNAs, plan and direct work, and ensure continuity of care for residents and families.

• Minimum 1-2 years of nursing experience in long-term or sub-acute preferred.
• Current state license to practice as an LPN.
• Current CPR certification or CPR certification within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Supervises CNAs/STNAs and other staff providing direct care.
• Plans, assigns, and directs work in alignment with resident needs and staff capabilities.
• Prepares work assignments, adjusting for staffing levels and resident safety.
• Receives staffing-related calls and arranges replacements as needed.
• Transfers employees among units per staffing demands.
• Completes performance evaluations for CNAs/STNAs.
• Adjusts break schedules and resolves staff concerns.
