Job summary

Journey is hiring Licensed Practical Nurses in Cartersville, GA for 7 a.m.–7 p.m. and 7 p.m.–7 a.m. shifts. Both full-time and part-time roles are available with a $5/hr attendance bonus for eligible staff. Weekly pay via DailyPay is offered, along with raises and benefits for eligible employees.

Responsibilities

• Directs daily activities of licensed practical/vocational nurse and CNAs per regulations and facility policies.
• Follow nursing model to promote holistic care for residents.
• Ensure policy compliance by nursing staff.
• Participate in admissions, discharges, and transfers of residents.
• Assess status changes, notify physician and family, document actions.
• Transcribe physician orders to medical records and execute orders.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

• Directs the daily activities of the licensed practical/vocational nurse and certified nursing assistants in accordance with current federal, state and local regulations and guidelines and established facility policies and procedures.
• Follows the nursing model to promote holistic care for the residents.
• Ensures that policies and procedures are complied with by nursing personnel assigned.
• Participates in the admission, discharge and transfers of residents as required.
• Assesses for changes in residents’ status, notifying the physician and resident’s family or representative and documenting accordingly.
• Transcribes physician orders to medical record and carries out orders as written.

Required Qualifications

• Prior experience in long-term care preferred but not required.
• A Nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
• Current unrestricted Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the practicing state.
• Current CPR certification.
