Job summary

Arc Broward is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team serving children with developmental disabilities. You will administer medications, perform routine health assessments, and triage illnesses while documenting records in a collaborative setting.

Qualifications

• Must successfully complete required screening: Level II background check, physical and drug screen.
• Graduated from an accredited nursing program.
• Must have a current LPN license to practice Nursing in the state of Florida with a minimum of one year experience.
• Prior experience providing support to individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality professional health services including medication administration and routine medical assessments.
• Perform daily triage of illnesses and injuries and document health records.
• Conduct health screening and health education for children in our Preschool and ABLE Program.
• Work in an interdisciplinary team and implement nursing policies per standards.

As a Licensed Practical Nurse you will be responsible for providing quality professional health services; to include: Medication administration, routine medical assessments, daily triage of illnesses and injuries, record documentation and review, health screening and health education for children in our Preschool and ABLE Program.

About the Role: Licensed Practical Nurse

• Work under the supervision of the Director of Nursing.
• Assess the health care needs of each individual.
• Work in an interdisciplinary team environment.
• Implement policies and procedures regarding medical, dental, dietary, pharmaceutical services and nursing practices in accordance with agency and regulatory standards and procedures.
