Job summary

Arc Broward is recruiting a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team in Fort Lauderdale, FL. This full-time M-F position offers 10:00 am–6:00 pm hours and a $26/hour rate, with duties including medication administration, health assessments, triage, and health education for children in our Preschool and ABLE program.

Qualifications

• Must successfully complete required screening: Level II background check, physical and drug screen.
• Must have a current Florida LPN license to practice nursing with a minimum of one year experience.
• Prior experience providing support to individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide medication administration and routine medical assessments.
• Triage illnesses and injuries daily and document findings.
• Record documentation and review health records for preschool and ABLE program participants.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to implement nursing policies and procedures.

About the Role: Licensed Practical Nurse

• Work under the supervision of the Director of Nursing.
• Assess the health care needs of each individual.
• Work in an interdisciplinary team environment.
• Implement policies and procedures regarding medical, dental, dietary, pharmaceutical services and nursing practices in accordance with agency and regulatory standards and procedures.
