Job summary

Freedom Behavioral Hospital of Ferriday is seeking a compassionate PRN Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support adult male psychiatric patients. The role involves delivering essential nursing care in a dynamic, patient-centered environment.

You will work with the team to provide direct patient care, conduct assessments, document findings, and ensure compliance with standards. Louisiana LPN licensure and mental health experience are preferred, with shifts from 7 AM–7 PM or 7 PM–7 AM.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Practical Nurse program.
• LPN license with the Louisiana State Board of Nursing.
• At least one year of mental health or psychiatric care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer direct patient care within the scope of your LPN license.
• Assist with patient assessments and document findings accurately and in a timely manner.
• Monitor patient condition and promptly report changes to the RN or medical staff.
• Assist with completion of admission paperwork and ensure documentation meets facility standards.
• Adhere to infection control policies and procedures.
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives and chart reviews.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to implement patient care plans and interventions.
