Job summary

Posterity Group LLC is staffing the VA New Jersey Healthcare System (VANJHCS) with full-time Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) in New Jersey.

LPNs will provide nursing care, assist in immunization programs, manage vaccines, assess records, administer immunizations, and educate patients. They may support other nursing posts and respond to emergencies involving detainees or staff.

All positions require valid BLS and an unrestricted state LPN license.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 2 years of relevant nursing experience.
• Valid BLS certification.
• Valid, current, unrestricted state license as LPN/LVN.
• Graduate of an ACEN-accredited LPN program or ACEN-equivalent military training.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care and may be assigned to other nursing posts as needed.
• Assist in the immunization program, including vaccine storage and handling.
• Assess vaccine records and determine needed immunizations.
• Administer vaccines to patients.
• Educate patients about immunizations.
• Assist during emergencies involving detainees or staff as required.

We are tasked with staffing The VA New Jersey Healthcare System (VANJHCS) with full time Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs). The LPNs are expected to perform the following:

• Is oriented and credentialled to provide all aspects of nursing care and may be assigned to other nursing posts as needed to support the mission
• Assists in the management of the immunization program, including ordering and storage of vaccines.
• Assessing vaccine records and schedules to determine needed immunizations.
• Providing immunizations to patients.
• Providing education regarding immunizations to patients.
• Must have the ability to assist sick, injured, or aging detainees or staff exiting the building during an emergency

Requirements

• at least 2 years of relevant experience
• Valid BLS
• Valid, current, unrestricted state license
• A graduate of a State Board of Nursing approved LPN/LVN training program OR be a graduate of an accredited LPN program by Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), OR have completed an equivalent military training program.
