Job summary

Strategic Resilience Group seeks an onsite LPN to provide nursing support at VA Hudson Valley Healthcare System and Castle Point VA Medical Center. You will deliver skilled nursing care, administer medications, and document care in VA systems.

Candidates must hold an active LPN license, BLS, VA credentialing readiness, and English fluency; willing to work weekends/holidays and complete VA training and security requirements.

Qualifications

• Active LPN license in any U.S. state in good standing.
• Graduate of a state-approved practical or vocational nursing program.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English fluently.
• Ability to obtain VA credentialing and privileging approval.
• Ability to complete VA training and security requirements before start.
• Ability to work weekends and federal holidays as scheduled.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite LPN services to VA patients in support of nursing operations.
• Deliver skilled nursing care in assigned settings (ICU, nursing home, or other units).
• Administer and document medications per policies and procedures.
• Observe, document, and report patient responses and changes to RN/physician.
• Collaborate with care teams across units including ambulatory, critical care, and ER support.
• Document care in VA systems and comply with privacy and HIPAA requirements.
• Maintain professional conduct, patient safety, and customer service standards in federal healthcare.

Position Responsibilities

• Deliver skilled nursing care in assigned care settings, which may include intermediate care, nursing home care, psychiatric patient populations, or other units as directed.
• Administer and document medications in accordance with approved policies and procedures.
• Observe, document, and report patient responses and changes in condition to the RN or physician.
• Collaborate with care teams across units, including ambulatory care, critical care, nursing home, and emergency room support as directed.
• Document care in VA systems and comply with privacy, HIPAA, and medical record requirements.
• Maintain professional conduct, patient safety, and customer service standards in a federal healthcare environment.

Required Qualifications

• Current, active LPN license in any U.S. state, territory, commonwealth, or the District of Columbia, in good standing and free of restrictions.
• Graduate of a state-approved school of practical or vocational nursing.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English fluently.
• Ability to obtain and maintain VA credentialing and privileging approval.
• Ability to complete required VA training and security requirements before start.
• Ability to work assigned shifts, including weekends and federal holidays as scheduled.

Eligibility Requirements

• Permanent Resident/Green Card holder with a Social Security Number and must have resided within the United States for the past three years;
• No sponsorship available.
