Job summary

The Orchards at Douglas Cove in Douglas, MI is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team. This role offers a $4,000 sign-on bonus for full-time staff and opportunities to provide quality resident care in a warm, family-friendly setting.

As an LPN you will administer medications, monitor patient health, collaborate with a supportive team, and participate in care planning for residents at our Douglas location near Lake Michigan and downtown Douglas.

Qualifications

• Active LPN license in Michigan.
• Minimum 1 year of LPN experience preferred.
• Ability to work various shifts and adapt to resident needs.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care to residents as assigned.
• Administers and records medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Reinforces health care instructions to residents and families.

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provides nursing care to patients as assigned
• Administers and records medications and treatments as assigned
• Reinforce supports and provides health care instructions to patients and their families
• Participates with other team members in planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care and other patient activities
• Assists in the admission, transfer, and discharge of patients
• Observes and reports patients' vital signs, symptoms and general condition to the appropriate individual(s)
• Records on patient charts observation of patient’s responses to nursing care rendered
• Maintains environmental conditions conducive to the comfort and safety of patients
• Assists with unit management and/or assume charge of unit as assigned

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Qualifications and Skills:

• LPN Licensure: 1 year (Preferred)
