Job summary

Amedisys is seeking an Licensed Practical Nurse for full-time day shifts to provide home health visits. You’ll verify plans of care, collaborate with physicians and RNs, and educate patients and caregivers to promote independence in their own homes.

Requirements include 1 year of LPN experience, a valid LPN license for assigned states, CPR certification, and a valid driver’s license with insured vehicle.

Qualifications

• One year of clinical LPN experience.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver's license and liability insurance.
• Current LPN license for the state(s) you are assigned to work.

Responsibilities

• Verify plan of care with the RN prior to each visit.
• Collaborate with physician and RN frequently to ensure patient needs are met; notify changes promptly.
• Teach patients and caregivers self-care techniques.
• Check vital signs.
• Review medications and perform medication reconciliation at each visit.
• Perform physician-ordered procedures (e.g., Foley catheter changes).
• Prepare equipment and materials for treatments using aseptic technique.
• Complete documentation timely and accurately.

Attractive Pay

• Minimum Hourly: $25.50


• Maximum Hourly: $31.50
