Job summary

Join Parachute, LLC in Charleston, IL is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Center Medical team. As a physician substitute, you will monitor donor health, perform screenings, assist with safety protocols, and collaborate with staff to ensure a welcoming and compliant donor experience.

The ideal candidate is an active LPN with current BLS/CPR, able to lift 50 pounds, and comfortable working weekends.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Monitor donor eligibility and safety; perform health screenings and exams.
• Respond to donor reactions and provide care as needed.
• Cross-train in all center functions including phlebotomy.
• Maintain health logs and test results with clinical oversight.
• Ensure exam rooms are clean, stocked, and compliant.

What You’ll Do

As an LPN (Physician Substitute), you will be a key member of the site’s lean team, responsible for donor health and safety and a critical part of the donor experience. You’ll work collaboratively with center staff to create a positive environment for the team and our donors. Key Responsibilities

• Monitor donor eligibility and safety; perform health screenings and physical exams
• Respond to donor reactions and provide care as needed
• Work collaboratively with all center staff
• Manage health logs and test results with clinical oversight
• Keep exam rooms clean, stocked, and compliant
• Beyond your core responsibilities, you will be fully cross trained in all center functions including phlebotomy, processing bottles, and station installation

Required Qualifications

• At least 18 years old
• High school diploma, GED equivalent, or higher education
• Certified/licensed Practical Nurse in the state of employment
• Current BLS or CPR certification
• Able to lift 50 pounds and stand or sit for extended periods
• Ability to work weekends, regularly or as needed
