Job summary

The Employee Connect is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our on-site nursing team in Boston, MA. You will provide skilled nursing care across day, evening, and night shifts, with solid CNA support and RN supervision on every shift.

The ideal candidate has an LPN license, BLS/CPR, and experience in long-term care. You will mentor CNAs, participate in care planning, and contribute to a stable, resident-centered environment with ongoing education and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted LPN license in the practicing state or eligible compact license.
• Current BLS or CPR certification.
• 1+ year in long-term care, skilled nursing, or rehab preferred; new grads welcome.
• Familiar with electronic health records and medication administration systems.
• Strong clinical judgment, organization, and communication skills.
• Willingness to work weekends/holidays as scheduled.
• Commitment to resident dignity and person-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments accurately per orders and policy.
• Complete resident assessments, monitor changes, report to RN supervisor.
• Perform wound, catheter care, injections and other skilled nursing tasks.
• Supervise and support CNAs on the unit to ensure timely care.
• Document assessments and care in the electronic health record.
• Participate in care planning, admissions, and discharge processes.
• Respond to emergencies and initiate appropriate interventions.
• Communicate clearly with residents, families, therapy, and the team.
• Follow infection control, fall prevention, and resident rights standards.
• Take part in shift reports, audits, and ongoing clinical education.
• Mentor newer CNAs and nurses toward resident-centered care.
• Maintain medication carts, supplies, and treatment records per regulations.

• Document assessments, medication administration, and care in the electronic health record
• Participate in care planning, admission, and discharge processes
• Respond to emergencies and initiate appropriate interventions
• Communicate clearly with residents, families, therapy, and the interdisciplinary team
• Follow infection control, fall prevention, and resident rights standards
• Take part in shift reports, audits, and ongoing clinical education
• Mentor newer CNAs and nurses and model professional, resident-centered care
• Maintain medication carts, supplies, and treatment records in compliance with regulations

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted LPN license in the state of practice or an eligible compact license
• Current BLS or CPR certification
• One year or more of long-term care, skilled nursing, or rehab experience preferred; new graduates are welcome to apply
• Working knowledge of electronic health records and medication administration systems
• Strong clinical judgment, organization, and communication skills
• Ability to pass a background check and health screening
• Reliable attendance and flexibility to work some weekends and holidays as scheduled
• Commitment to resident dignity, privacy, and person-centered care

Benefits & Pay

Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour, based on experience and schedule.
