Job summary

Valley View Health and Rehabilitation in Athens, AL seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for PRN shifts. You will administer meds, monitor residents, and collaborate with RNs and therapists to support recovery in a warm, home-like setting.

The role offers flexible scheduling, opportunities to pick up shifts, and a supportive nursing team in a long-term care and rehabilitation environment. BLS/CPR is required, and pay ranges from $27.05 to $33.00 per hour with night differentials.

Qualifications

• Current and valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license.
• Strong clinical skills, including medication administration and wound care.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Compassionate, patient-focused approach to care.
• BLS/CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor, assess, and document residents' health status, including vital signs.
• Report changes in condition to the supervising RN or physician.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed.
• Collaborate with the rehabilitation team to support recovery goals.
• Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with facility policies and state/federal regulations.
• Provide education and emotional support to residents and families.
• Follow infection control and safety protocols to maintain a safe environment.

Position Overview
