Job summary

APN Staffing & Employment Solutions is seeking an LPN in Flagstaff, Arizona for a full-time contract at $40.58/hour. Day and Overnight shifts are available, with a focus on Veterans care and Skilled Nursing Facility experience.

You will perform bedside nursing, monitor vital signs, administer medications, assist with personal hygiene, and document patient care. A current AZ LPN license, CPR/BLS, and OSHA familiarity are required.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active LPN license in good standing (Arizona).
• CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required.
• Familiarity with OSHA regulations and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform bedside nursing care and basic medical procedures.
• Take and monitor vital signs (temperature, BP, pulse, respiration).
• Administer medications and treatment regimens as prescribed.
• Document patient care and report changes to supervising nurse.
• Assist patients with bathing, dressing and personal hygiene.

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Full Time Contract - No PRN accepted at this time.
Must have previous experience working in a Skilled Nursing Facility.

This is a great position for someone that wants to serve Veterans! We have Day and Overnight Shifts available.

You shall be responsible for performing the following services that include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Nursing activities for which the LPN(s) have been prepared through basic education and those additional skills which are obtained through approved continued education programs.
• Observing, recording and reporting the condition of the patient or resident including signs and symptoms which may be indicative of change in the patient or resident’s condition, to the nurses‟ immediate supervisor.
• Basic bedside care and the taking of vital signs such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respiration.
• Providing services such as treatment regimens and the delivery of medications as prescribed by a medical provider or under the guidelines of the Emergency Response Orders and Nursing Treatment Protocols.
• As needed, the LPN will describe chronic, acute and emergency health care needs of the patient or resident, and document accordingly in the patient or residents medical record.
• Monitoring the patient or resident and reporting adverse reactions to medications and or treatments.
• Assisting the patient or resident with bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene.
• Assisting in providing the patient or resident with routine health services, first aid and minor medication administration in emergency situations.
• Observing, recording and reporting the condition of patient’s, including signs and symptoms which may be indicative of change in the patient’s condition, to the nurses‟ immediate supervision.
• Providing basic bedside care, which includes taking vital signs such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respiration
• Providing services such as treatment regimens and the delivery of medications as prescribed by a medical provider or under the guidelines of the Emergency Response Orders and Nursing Treatment Protocols.

Qualifications

• Shall hold a current license in good standing privilege to practice as an LPN by the Arizona State Board of Nursing
• Shall comply with the Arizona State Board of Nursing Statutes, Rules and Regulations.
• Current certifications for Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Basic Life Support (BLS), meeting the American Heart Association standards.
• Shall be familiar with Occupational Safety Health Association (OSHA) regulations.
