Job summary

FutureCare is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Maryland to join our frontline team delivering high-quality patient care. You will work under RN supervision, assist in care planning, and ensure care plans meet regulatory standards.

The role emphasizes teamwork, strong communication, and adherence to state and federal guidelines. A current CPR certification and an active Maryland LPN license are required, with hospital or long-term care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Active Maryland LPN license required.
• Minimum 1 year nursing experience preferred.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to follow state and federal guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Under the direct supervision of the RN, assist in care planning and treatments for residents and consults with other nursing staff as appropriate.
• Care for residents on an assigned unit with basic knowledge and skills.
• Review resident medical records to ensure nursing practice complies with state and federal guidelines.
• Document care provided and report changes in resident status to the shift supervisor.
• Review referrals for consultation, treatment or resolution of problems against documented nurse plans.
• Seek opportunities for professional growth and expansion of responsibilities to maintain competency levels.
• Set and implement goals and policies consistent with FutureCare’s nursing facility.

• Seeks opportunities for professional growth and expansion of responsibilities to maintain competency levels
• Set and implement goals and policies consistent with the philosophy and purpose of FutureCare’s nursing facility

Qualifications

• Must hold an active LPN license issued in the state of Maryland
• 1 year of nursing experience preferred
• Previous experience caring for residents in an acute or long-term health care facility a plus
• Team player with strong work ethic and a willingness to assist where needed
• Must possess a current CPR license
• Ability to demonstrate effective interpersonal communication with all personnel, residents, and families
