We are currently seeking an experienced:

LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE (LPN)

Full Time, Nights

Job Description:

1. Assist in directing nursing services for the unit/hall, in accordance with the Nursing Practice Act, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
2. Delegate duties to professional and non-professional nursing personnel, and monitor work performance under RN supervision.
3. Observe patients for symptoms or reactions, including physical and mental conditions, that may indicate adverse changes.
4. Assist in notifying physicians of emergencies and patient deaths, and implement changes in orders as instructed by physicians.
5. Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with an active LPN license.
• Current, valid license from the North Carolina Board of Nursing, with proof of renewal every two years.
• Willingness to work as a charge nurse and during emergencies to ensure adequate coverage.
• Ability to provide quality nursing care, follow doctors’ orders, and demonstrate a genuine interest in geriatric nursing.
• CPR certification, renewed annually.
• Participation in in-service training and staff meetings as required.
