Position Overview

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) collaborates with the treatment team to provide direct patient care and skilled tasks under the supervision of a Physician, Advanced Practitioner, or Registered Nurse. LPNs facilitate communication among healthcare team members, patients, and families.

Openings vary by campus availability, including:

• Acute Care (Med Surg): Anderson, Bethlehem, Carbon, Easton, Geisinger St. Luke's, Miners, Monroe, Upper Bucks, Warren
• Skilled Nursing: Lehighton, Miners
• Acute Rehab Center: Bethlehem, Lehighton, Sacred Heart
• Behavioral Health/Recovery Center: Easton, Lehighton, Quakertown, Sacred Heart, St. Luke's Penn Foundation

Shift Details

Positions may be available on various shifts, including weekends and per diem options. Full-time positions are 36 or 40 hours/week; part-time are less than 36 hours/week; per diem requires a minimum of 2 shifts/month. All positions require the ability to complete 7 consecutive days of initial orientation and unit-specific training.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Participate in interdisciplinary team and rehab meetings.
• Administer treatments and medications accurately and timely, documenting accordingly.
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition, assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Demonstrate and model Service Excellence Standards in interactions.
• Adhere to attendance and dress code policies.

Training and Experience

New or experienced candidates; individualized orientation provided. Maintain current BLS certification.

Education

Graduate of an accredited Pennsylvania nursing school with a current Pennsylvania license.

Physical and Sensory Requirements

Includes sitting, standing, walking, lifting, pulling, stooping, reaching, crawling, and visual capabilities necessary to perform job duties effectively. Specifics detailed in original description.
