Qualifications

• Must graduate from an approved school for practical or vocational nursing.
• Must be licensed by the State Board of Nursing or have pending licensure for an LPN.
• Must maintain current BLS/CPR certification if required by the state or facility.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of an RN, deliver efficient and effective nursing care.
• Evaluate patients to collect data, observe condition, and report changes.
• Administer medications and perform treatments per physician orders.
• Supervise and monitor care provided by unlicensed staff.
