CMHHIP is a 24-hour behavioral health acute care facility dedicated to providing a safe, therapeutic environment for patients with psychiatric and medical needs, aiming to restore patients to their optimal functioning and community reintegration.

Job Description

The Licensed Practical Nurse II (LPNII) provides direct nursing care under RN supervision, including patient safety, medication administration, milieu management, and participation in care planning. The role involves crisis intervention, behavior observation, documentation, and teamwork.

Responsibilities
  1. Administer medications and treatments per standards.
  2. Respond to safety/security issues and manage crisis situations.
  3. Participate in trauma-informed care and staff orientation.
  4. Maintain professional boundaries and adhere to policies.
  5. Train lower-level staff and contribute to quality assurance.
Qualifications
  • Current, valid LPN license in Colorado.
  • IV certification as per hospital standards.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks and respond to emergencies.
  • Effective communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Additional Requirements
  • Background checks, licensure verification, and health screenings.
  • Compliance with vaccination and TB screening policies.
  • No engagement in inappropriate relationships with patients.
