Under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN), the purpose of this position is to provide direct nursing care services to patients. Responsibilities include ensuring patient comfort and safety, observing and documenting patient conditions, administering medications and treatments, and participating in care planning. The LPN II cares for patients with various health needs and works in a secure environment following policies to ensure safety.
The role involves managing the milieu, supervising patients during activities, documenting observations, participating in team meetings, and mentoring staff. It requires adherence to Nursing Standards of Care, departmental policies, and quality assurance protocols. Immediate crisis intervention and emergency response are also key responsibilities.
