Summary: This entry-level nursing opportunity is for candidates interested in serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, delivering care in a community residential home setting, and collaborating with individuals, families, providers, and other stakeholders to enhance health and quality of living.
Some LPN positions may be assigned to locations requiring 24/7 nursing staff, with mandatory overtime as circumstances dictate. This position is designated as an "EMERGENCY" position in the DDS Emergency Plan; employees may be required to report to work during Governor-declared emergencies.
All employees are paid bi-weekly and must have direct deposit.
The mission of the Department of Developmental Services (DDS) is to create opportunities for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to participate fully in their communities. DDS serves over 43,000 individuals and manages a substantial budget and workforce within Massachusetts government.

MINIMUM ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS: None. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Possession of a current and valid LPN license in Massachusetts.

Title 101 CMR 23.00 applies to congregate care and 24/7 facilities; vaccination requirements and attestations may apply as specified. This position is a Massachusetts state government role.
