Job summary

Brooks Rehabilitation Home Health in Florida is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide direct patient care under RN supervision. You will document observations, administer medications and nursing care, admit/transfer/discharge patients, monitor vitals, and assist with rehab and acute care needs.

The role requires Florida LPN licensure, IV and BLS certifications, and at least one year of nursing experience. On-call rotation and adherence to safety policies are expected.

Qualifications

• Licensed LPN in Florida with current license.
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience.
• IV certification and BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Documents observations and care in accordance with policy and procedures.
• Administers medications and IV therapies as directed.
• Administers basic nursing care and assists the RN in rehab and acute care patients.
• Admits, transfers, and discharges patients.
• Monitors vital signs and reports changes.
• Maintains a safe, clean environment and adheres to universal precautions.
• Participates in on-call rotation.
• Provides for dietary and fluid needs and records intake/output.

DescriptionLocation Overview: Home HealthPosition Summary : A Licensed Practical nurse performs nursing functions under the direction of a registered nurse, follows the plans of care, participates in care planning, and performs nursing actions in accord with company policy and state law.Job Responsibilities:Documents observations and care given in accord with company process according to company policies and procedures. Administers medications.Administers basic nursing care measure to the rehab patient and assists in giving care to the acutely ill rehab patient relative to patient age, developmental needs, and understanding.Admits, transfers, and discharges patients.
