Job summary

Henry Ford Health is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to deliver home health care and hospice services under the supervision of a registered nurse. Qualified candidates will be in the final semester or graduates of an accredited LPN program, possess strong communication skills, and have problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.

Qualifications

• Knowledge about care of neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.
• Prior healthcare experience is a plus, Women and Children Services preferred.

To provide adult and geriatric home health care with the supervision of the primary nurse that is collaborative with all members of the interdisciplinary team.

JOB SUMMARY:

Under the supervision of a RN or provider, the LPN uses sound nursing judgment in the provision of nursing care. Performs a variety of both technical and routine nursing services. Collaborates with health care teams to implement the nursing care plan. Demonstrates clinical competence.

Qualifications - External

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Currently in last semester of or graduated from an accredited LPN program.
• Effective written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to problem-solve.
• Critical thinking skills and judgment necessary in the delivery of patient care.
• Knowledge about the care of neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Preferred Qualifications LPN experience; Women and Children Services preferred.
• Prior experience working in a healthcare environment

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:

• LPN License within 90 days of hire
• Current BLS or obtained during Patient Care Orientation
