Job summary

Jefferson City Medical Group seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse in Gastroenterology (GI) for their Jefferson City, MO clinic. This hybrid role involves direct patient care and clinic support, within the MO LPN scope of practice.

The Nurse must hold MO LPN licensure, BCLS, and have at least 1 year in acute care with preference for ambulatory care. Strong computer literacy and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

RESPONSIBILITIES

Job Specific Competencies:

• Provides nursing care to patients in the clinic following the Missouri Licensed Practical Nurse Practice Act, scope of practice.
• Provides appropriate safety and infection control measures.
• Performs routine clerical activities required for efficient operation of the ambulatory clinic.
• Assures the efficient and effective functioning of clinic processes.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

• High school diploma or GED

Experience:

• 1 year in an acute care setting; prefer an additional 1 year in ambulatory care

Certification/License:

• Licensure as a Practical Nurse in the State of Missouri in good standing
• Basic Cardiac Life Support Certified

WORK ENVIRONMENT Works in heated and air-conditioned area; may be exposed to infectious material and contagious conditions; frequently exposed to patient body fluids, including blood and contaminated sharps; potential for exposure to hazardous disinfecting chemicals and radiation; must follow universal precautions and utilize personal protective equipment.
