Under the supervision of the RN Unit Manager or DON, a Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse provides care as a licensed caregiver, responsible for assigned residents/patients during a shift. Nursing care involves coordinating, implementing, and evaluating each resident’s/patient’s plan of care. The LPN/LVN adheres to care standards, manages the environment to ensure safety, and supervises nursing assistants. All duties are performed in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act and center policies.

Required Education and Experience

• Licensed in the State as an LPN
• Current CPR certification
• Ability to operate necessary supplies and equipment (feeding pumps, oxygen, treatment trays, medication cart, etc.)
• Ability to calculate drug dosages
• Meet all health requirements imposed by law
• Effective and positive communication with residents, families, community members, volunteers, and staff
• Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English; basic computer skills with a willingness to learn company applications
