Under the supervision of the RN Unit Manager or DON, an LPN/LVN provides care as a licensed caregiver, responsible for assigned residents/patients during a shift. Care is delivered through coordination, implementation, and evaluation of the resident’s/patient’s plan of care. The LPN/LVN adheres to care standards, manages the environment for safety, supervises nursing assistants, and follows all policies and procedures in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act.

Required Education and Experience

• Licensed in the State as an LPN
• Current CPR certification
• Ability to use necessary supplies and equipment (feeding pumps, oxygen, treatment trays, medication cart, etc.)
• Ability to calculate drug dosages
• Meet all health requirements imposed by law
• Positive, effective communication with residents, families, community members, volunteers, and staff
• Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English; basic computer skills with an aptitude to learn company applications
