Under the supervision of the RN Unit Manager or DON, an LPN performs as a licensed caregiver, responsible and accountable for assigned residents/patients during a shift. Nursing care involves coordinating, implementing, and evaluating the resident’s/patient’s plan of care. The LPN adheres to standards of care, manages the environment for safety, and supervises nursing assistants. All duties follow the Center’s policies and procedures and are defined by the State Nurse Practice Act.

Required Education and Experience

• Licensed in the State as an LPN
• Current CPR certification
• Ability to operate necessary supplies and equipment (feeding pumps, oxygen, treatment trays, medication cart, etc.)
• Ability to calculate drug dosages
• Meet all health requirements imposed by law
• Ability to relate positively and effectively with residents, families, community members, volunteers, and staff
• Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English; basic computer skills with an aptitude for learning company applications
