Summary of Position:

Under the supervision of the Unit Manager/ADON/DON, the RN is responsible and accountable for a group of residents/patients during a shift. Nursing care is provided through assessment, implementation, and evaluation of the care plan. The RN follows standards of care, manages the environment to ensure safety, and supervises nursing assistants and helpers. Adheres to North Shore policies and procedures, performs duties as outlined by the State Nurse Practice Act, and complies with applicable JCAHO standards.

Requirements of the Position:

• Licensed in the State as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Current CPR certification
• Ability to operate necessary supplies and equipment (feeding pumps, oxygen, treatment trays, medication cart, etc.)
• Ability to calculate drug dosages
• Meet all health requirements as per law
• Positive, effective communication with residents, families, community members, volunteers, and staff
• Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English
• Basic computer skills with a willingness to learn company applications
• Experience in a fast-paced environment
• Previous post-acute care experience preferred
