Job summary

Delaware Valley Residential Care is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to assist our program participants with medical needs and concerns on a night schedule. The role includes medication management oversight, working with cognitive and behavioral therapists, and documenting resident health information on campus in Bucks County, PA.

This position requires the ability to travel the medical cart to each resident apartment and to maintain a positive, calm environment.

Qualifications

• LPN license and BLS preferred.
• Ability to assist with medication management and resident care.
• Excellent communication with physicians, therapists and residents.

Responsibilities

• Dispense and oversee medication management with oversight from the Healthcare Coordinator.
• Assist therapists in behavior management of residents as needed.
• Review Medication Administration records and document all pertinent information.
• Communicate with physicians and healthcare providers daily as needed.
• Assist with monitoring chart accuracy and completion.

Delaware Valley Residential Care is currently seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to assist our Program Participants with medical needs and concerns.

Responsibilities:

• Dispense and oversee medication management with oversight from the Healthcare Coordinator
• Assist Cognitive and Behavioral Therapists in behavior management of residents as needed
• Review Medication Administration records
• Communicate daily or as needed with physicians and healthcare providers
• Assist Healthcare Coordinator with monitoring chart accuracy and completion
• Assess and evaluate resident issues and medical concerns
• Document all pertinent resident medical/care information
• Participate in direct care of residents when needed

Qualifications:

• Current Pennsylvania LPN License, required
• BLS certification, preferred
• Must be able to weather the elements, as LPN will travel with the medical cart outside to each resident apartment on campus
• Ability to maintain a positive attitude and promote a positive environment for both team members and participants
• Ability to work weekends and holidays as scheduled
• Demonstrated ability to remain calm in tense and high-pressure situations
• Proven track record of timeliness and accountability
