Job summary

Lone Star Circle of Care is seeking a compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our team in Texas. The role supports our mission to improve community health with equitable patient care.

Responsibilities include patient histories, assisting with examinations, drawing blood, and handling EHR entries. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus; previous clinic experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited vocational nursing program.
• Current Texas LVN license.
• Experience in a clinic/outpatient setting.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Strong data entry and EHR experience.

Responsibilities

• Obtain, evaluate, and document patient histories.
• Assist licensed medical staff during patient examinations.
• Draw and collect blood samples and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis.
• Receive STAT calls from Quest and ARA and communicate results to providers.
• Complete data entry in the EHR, including lab results and lead screenings.
• Coordinate authorizations and identify in-network service providers for referrals.

A Day in the Life of an LVN

• Obtain, evaluate, and document patient histories
• Assist licensed medical staff and/or Registered Nurses during patient examinations
• Draw and collect blood samples and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis as needed
• Receive and document STAT calls from Quest and ARA and communicate results to providers
• Complete data entry within the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, including lab results, hemoglobin, and lead screenings
• Coordinate authorizations and identify in-network service providers for speech, occupational, and physical therapy referrals
• Graduate of an accredited vocational nursing program
• Current and valid Texas Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license
• Previous nursing experience in a clinic or outpatient setting
• Experience using Electronic Health Records (EHR)
• Bilingual English/Spanish skills
