Job summary

Gulf Coast Village Assisted Living/Palmview, a community of Volunteers of America National Services, is seeking a full-time LPN for day shift (7a-3p) in Cape Coral, FL. The role involves monitoring residents, administering medications, and updating care plans on electronic systems.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program and hold LPN or RN licensure in the state of practice.
• Current CPR Certification.
• Customer service oriented with knowledge of successful customer service techniques.
• Ability to understand residents' charts, doctor orders, residents' plan of care, and medication orders.

Responsibilities

• Role models positive and open communication with staff, residents and families.
• Monitor vital signs, weights, and administer medications and treatments according to policy.
• Immediately report any suspected abuse or neglect per facility policy.
• Accurately utilize electronic documentation systems as required by facility policy.

Schedule: Morning Shift: 7a-3p M-F (Every other weekend required) Pay Range: LPN - $24 - $30.50 per hour, based on experience

What You Bring (Requirements)

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse in the state of practice.
• Maintain a current CPR Certification.
• Customer service oriented with knowledge of successful customer service techniques.
• Ability to understand residents' charts, doctor's orders, residents' plan of care, medication orders.
• Must possess the ability to effectively gather clinical data in regards to resident status and condition.

What You'll Be Responsible For

• Role models positive & open communication skills with all staff, customers, guests, residents and families.
• Follows all shift routines, policy and procedures regarding monitoring of vital signs, weights, administration of medications and treatments.
• Immediately reports any suspected abuse or neglect per facility policy.
