Job summary

Gulf Coast Village Assisted Living/Palmview, part of Volunteers of America National Services (VOANS), seeks a Full-Time LPN for Days (7a-3p) in Cape Coral, FL. Join a mission-driven team delivering compassionate care in a welcoming campus.

Eligible candidates are licensed in Florida, CPR certified, and ready to contribute to resident care plans while documenting care and communicating with the care team.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with licensure in state of practice.
• Current CPR certification and good standing.
• Patient-facing experience and customer service oriented.
• Ability to read charts, orders and care plans; gather resident data.

Responsibilities

• Model positive communication with staff, residents, and families.
• Follow routines and policies for monitoring vitals and meds.
• Report suspected abuse or neglect per policy.
• Accurately document in facility EMR systems.

Schedule:

Morning Shift: 7a-3p M-F (Every other weekend required)

Pay Range:

LPN - $24 - $30.50 per hour, based on experience

What You Bring (Requirements)

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse in the state of practice. Maintain a current CPR Certification.
• Customer service oriented with knowledge of successful customer service techniques.
• Ability to understand residents’ charts, doctor’s orders, residents’ plan of care, medication orders.
• Must possess the ability to effectively gather clinical data in regards to resident status and condition.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

• Role models positive & open communication skills with all staff, customers, guests, residents and families.
• Follows all shift routines, policy and procedures regarding monitoring of vital signs, weights, administration of medications and treatments.
• Immediately reports any suspected abuse or neglect per facility policy.
• Accurately utilizes electronic systems of documentation as required per facility policy.
