Job summary

archcarecareers is seeking a Registered Nurse in New York to join our clinical team for resident care across shifts. You will receive handover details, monitor resident progress, and collaborate with the Nurse Manager to adjust treatment plans as needed.

You will administer and document medications in compliance with physician orders, and perform treatments per physician directives while ensuring safety and regulatory adherence.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid NY State Registered Nurse license.
• Associate Degree required; BSN preferred.
• Experience with medication administration and patient care is expected.

Responsibilities

• Receives report from previous shift and verifies all pertinent resident information.
• Continuously evaluates behavior, symptoms, reactions and progress with Nurse Manager/Charge Nurse.
• Administers and documents medications according to policy, orders and Health regulations.
• Performs treatments per physician orders and established procedures.
• Discusses medication changes with Nurse Manager/Charge Nurse as needed.
• Orders prescribed medications and notifies pharmacy of changes; ensures accuracy of dosages.

Education

Current NY State Registered Nurse License

Associate Degree - BSN Preferred

• Receives report from previous shift, making sure that he/she has received all pertinent information on each resident.
• Continuously evaluates behavior, symptoms, reactions and progress of residents and discusses findings with Nurse Manager/Charge Nurse.
• Administers and documents all medications according to established policies and procedures, physician's orders and Department of Health regulations.
• Performs all treatments according to physician’s specific order and established policies and procedures.
• Discusses the need to discontinue or change a medication of treatment with the Nurse Manager/ Charge Nurse.
• Orders prescribed medications, notifies pharmacy of discontinued medications: and ensures accuracy of medications and dosages when received from pharmacy.
