Mayo Clinic in Minnesota is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our outpatient clinic team. You will provide direct patient care across pediatric to geriatric populations, collaborate with RNs and providers, and help coordinate timely, high-quality care in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a practical nursing program or passed LPN boards; if graduation did not occur within the last two years, one year of LPN experience in an applicable setting is required.
• Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing preferred.
• One year LPN experience within the last five years preferred.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
• Experience working in a team environment.
• Computer skills required, prior experience with electronic medical record systems preferred.
• Ability to work daytime hours, flexibility may be required to meet staffing needs.
• Ability to adapt to unpredictable situations within the work setting.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care within scope of practice for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
• Conducts focused assessments and reinforcement of patient education.
• Administers medications, immunizations, and treatments such as injections, ear lavages, nebulizer treatments, wound care, catheter care, and suture/staple removal.
• Supports population needs for preventive care services, chronic disease management, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Assists with in-clinic procedures.
• Independently manages a nurse visit calendar and clinic workflows to support timely, coordinated care.
• Demonstrates strong communication skills and may assist with mentoring, instruction, committees, or quality improvement projects as assigned.
