Qualifications

• Education: Trade/Technical/Vocational Diploma; Licensed Practical Nurse required.
• LPN license required; BLS certification preferred.
• Medical experience 2-3 years preferred.
• Ability to interview, obtain vitals, administer medications, perform procedures, and communicate professionally.

Responsibilities

• Interviews patients about current problems, medications, and allergies and reviews medical records for pertinent information.
• Measure and record patients' vital signs: height, weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiration.
• Provide basic patient care or treatments, including wound care, dressings, and nebulizer treatments.
• Participate in patient treatment regimens; administer medications under supervision of physician and RN.
• Answer phones, triage, and manage office responsibilities within nursing scope.
• Collect samples and perform routine laboratory tests.
• Prepare patients for examinations and explain procedures.
• Assist patients with bathing, dressing, hygiene, mobility, and transfers.
