Under the supervision of the RN Unit Manager or DON, an LPN/LVN provides licensed care, assumes responsibility for assigned residents/patients during a shift, and coordinates, implements, and evaluates their plan of care. The LPN/LVN adheres to care standards, maintains safety, supervises nursing assistants, and follows all policies and procedures as per the State Nurse Practice Act.

Required Education and Experience

• Licensed in the State as an LPN
• Current CPR certification
• Ability to use necessary supplies and equipment (feeding pumps, oxygen, treatment trays, medication cart, etc.)
• Ability to calculate drug dosages
• Meet all health requirements imposed by law
• Positive, effective communication with residents, families, community members, volunteers, and staff
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; basic computer skills with aptitude to learn company applications
