Job summary

Penn State Health Hampden Medical Center is seeking an inpatient Registered Nurse for night shifts. The role involves assessments, care planning, medication administration, and detailed medical recordkeeping. You will monitor patient conditions and respond to changes while supporting health maintenance and disease prevention.

The position is part-time (0.60 FTE), night hours, with a $5.00/hour night shift differential. A valid RN license, BLS, and ACLS are required or in progress as specified.

Qualifications

  • Currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse by state of employment or holds a multistate RN license.
  • BLS certification required prior to orientation completion.
  • ACLS certification required prior to end of orientation period.

Night Shift Differential: $5.00/hour

Hours: 12 hours/Nights

SUMMARY OF POSITION

The RN inpatient Nurse assesses patient health problems and needs, develop and implement nursing care plans, and maintain medical records. The inpatient Registered Nurse administers nursing care to ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled patients. The RN may advise patients on health maintenance and disease prevention. The inpatient RN will maintain accurate, detailed reports and records and administer medications to patients while monitoring for reactions and side effects. The RN will monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients’ conditions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S)
  • Currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse by state of employment or holds a multistate RN license through the interstate Nurse Licensure Compact required.
  • BLS required prior to orientation completion.
  • Obtain AHA ACLS certification prior to end of orientation period
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S)
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
