Job summary

AMG Specialty Hospital – Northwest Indiana is seeking a High-Acuity Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide intensive nursing care for complex patients at our Crown Point, IN facility. The role includes ventilator monitoring, advanced wound management, and close RN supervision to ensure high-quality outcomes.

We require an Indiana LPN license, current BLS and ACLS, and a nursing background in high-acuity settings.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing.
• Active Indiana LPN license.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Experience in high-acuity settings preferred.

Responsibilities

We provide exceptional, high-acuity care to a small, focused subset of patients requiring extended ICU stays, ventilator support, vasopressors, or advanced wound management. Key Responsibilities

• Deliver advanced practical nursing care for high-acuity patients, including ventilator monitoring, complex treatments, and advanced wound management under RN supervision.
• Administer medications and implement care interventions for patients transitioning from traditional ICUs.
• Collaborate closely with RNs, physicians, respiratory therapists, and leadership to drive positive patient outcomes.

Job Requirements

• Education: Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing.
• Licensure: Active, unencumbered Indiana Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license.
• Certifications: Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Experience: Prior nursing experience in a high-acuity setting (e.g., Acute care, Step-down, or high-acuity LTAC) is preferred. Must be an engaged, self-motivated clinician.
