Merakey is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide direct nursing care for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities at the AVS campus in Pennsylvania. The LPN will perform clinical assessments, document seizure activity, and administer medications in a 17-bed facility, supporting individuals with complex medical needs.

The role follows a schedule with afternoon/evening shifts and added hourly differentials for specific blocks; base pay is $29.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Current license as an LPN in the Commonwealth of PA.
• One year of experience as an LPN preferred.
• A current and valid PA driver’s license and reliable transportation may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to adults with IDD and physical disabilities.
• Complete clinical assessments and record seizure activity as needed.
• Administer medications and monitor patients’ conditions on shift.

Merakey is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse who will make an impact on the lives of adults living with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities.

Program Description:

Merakey Allegheny Valley School (Merakey AVS) is a non-profit organization which provides homes and a full range of services to adults with all levels of intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). The majority of the nearly 800 individuals that we support are diagnosed with severe or profound IDD. In addition, most of the people we serve have multiple physical disabilities, extensive medical complications and may require supports for challenging behaviors.

Position Description:

The LPN will work on the AVS campus in a 17-bed facility. The nurse willprovide direct nursing care to persons with developmental and physical disabilities by completing clinical assessments, recording seizure activity as needed, and administering medications.

Schedule:

M-F 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM

• Monday - Thursday | 2:30 PM - 7:00 AM
  + $4.00 per hour
• Friday | 2:30 PM - 6:00 AM
  + $4.00 per hour
• Saturday 6:30 AM - Monday 7:00 AM
  + $6.00 per hour

Base Pay

• Standard base rate: $29.00per hour
